About OIA
About the Office of International Affairs
To promote international academic exchange, our university established the International Affairs Section under the Office of Technical Cooperation in August 1996. In August 2003, it was renamed the Academic Exchange Section under the Office of Research and Development, responsible for managing academic cooperation with sister schools and assisting in international technical and technological exchange activities.
In response to the increasing frequency of academic exchanges, the university also established the “Academic Exchange and Cooperation Committee” in December 1997. Later, in February 2011, the “Office of International and Cross-Strait Cooperation (ICSC)” was established to oversee all international and cross-strait exchange affairs.
The ICSC currently consists of four divisions: the “Academic Exchange Division,” the “Mainland Affairs Division,” the “Student Services Division,” and the “International Foundation Program Division.” These divisions are responsible for planning strategies and promoting the university’s international and cross-strait academic exchanges.
Amid evolving economic conditions and educational trends in the country, the university strives to become a high-quality technological institution with a balanced and scalable scope. To realize its core development goals, the university integrates academic exchange resources, develops distinctive strengths, and aligns with the trends in higher education, with the aim of enhancing international visibility and achieving the university's vision:
“Rooted in Taiwan, Expanding Internationally, and Developing Sustainably.”
