CYUT appointed a world-recognized scholar, Prof. Miroslaw Skibniewski from University of Maryland, U.S.A., as the T.-S. Yang Honorary Distinguished Professor of CYUT.
In order to pursue the global excellence of the university and to promote the global mobility of the faculty members and students, CYUT invited Prof. Miroslaw Skibniewski from the University of Maryland, USA, as the T.-S. Yang Honorary Distinguished Professor of CYUT to visit and give lectures on the CYUT campus from April 10th to April 20th, 2017.
Prof. Miroslaw Skibniewski obtained his M.Eng. degree from Warsaw University of Technology, followed by M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Carnegie-Mellon University, U.S.A. Prof. Skibniewski has been a recipient of research awards from the U.S. National Science Foundation, American Society of Civil Engineers and of other forms of scholarly recognition, including distinguished and named chair professorships in the U.S. and abroad, panel memberships in the U.S. National Academy of Engineering, as well as elected memberships of the Russian Academy of Engineering and the Academy of Engineering in Poland. Last year he was named a Lifetime Honorary Member of the International Association for Automation and Robotics in Construction and a Distinguished Visiting Fellow of the U.K. Royal Academy of Engineering.
