Description of the admission pipeline for short-term students in mainland China
Chaoyang University of Technology takes the pursuit of becoming a global excellent university as its governance aims. We welcome students from all over the world who love multicultural experience to come to our school. We provide a student-friendly learning environment and living space, so that all international students studying in our school can feel the unique campus culture, cordial reception and arrangement of Chaoyang. The school currently has partner institutions with nearly 300 universities in mainland China, and has signed exchange agreements with many 985 and 211 universities such as East China Normal University and University of Science and Technology Beijing. There are 600-1000 mainland china students who come to CYUT for short-term training every year. More than one hundred mainland degree students enrolled in CYUT, current school in the admission of mainland degree students and conditions as follows:
Apply for eligibility:
1. Students in mainland universities and colleges who have signed an "academic cooperation agreement" with the University.
2. Must be students of good character, good academic performance, good interaction with others, and enthusiasm for cross-strait cultural and educational exchanges.
3. An application must be made through the recommendation of the school to which it belongs and in accordance with the prescribed procedures.
Application deadline:
1. Fall Class (September Admission) - Application information is sent (or emailed) by May 31 every year.
2. Spring class (February admission) - application information is sent (or emailed) by November 30 every year.
The number of students studying:
There is no limit to the total number of students per university, except that the maximum number of applicants for admission to the same major of the university is limited to 25, and if there are more than 25 students, classes will be held in a special class, and the tuition fees and courses of the students in this class will be discussed separately.
CYUT admission process and norms:
1. Students who are of good character and have a keen interest in cross-strait cultural and educational exchanges shall be selected by the university. Students study with their own subjects in the university.
2. After receiving the materials and examination, CYUT will approval by the relevant units, invitation letter, itinerary and the university profile to provide the original univeristy for the approval of the competent authorities to enter Taiwan procedures.
3. CYUT will also assist in the processing of student entry and exit procedures, which will be sent to the Taiwan Immigration Department after approval: Invitation letter and itinerary, entry and exit permits, CYUT reports to the notice manual.
4. Please enter or leave the country on time according to the standard date of the university, and purchase a return ticket before leaving the mainland region.
5. During the course of study in Taiwan, the relevant norms and disciplines of Taiwan and schools must be observed. Bachelor of Studies (Undergraduate) students per semester must be at least 16 credits (about 18 hours per credit), master's (research institute) students at least 9 credits, the maximum number of study credits is 25, the selection of courses in accordance with the school's student selection method.
6. Students must stay in the student dormitory of the university during their studies in Taiwan and abide by the dormitory norms. The management tutoring unit is the International and Cross-Strait Cooperation Office, Office of Student Affairs, and the department study for.
7. Upon completion of the courses and activities of the students, CYUT will issue a certificate of study and a certificate of credit at the end of the semester (i.e. credits and grades for passing subjects).
