[Scholarship for Overseas Chinese Students]
2025 Overseas Chinese Affairs Council Donation-Based Scholarship Now Open for Application
This scholarship is established to support and reward outstanding overseas Chinese students currently enrolled in universities in Taiwan. The Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) accepts donations from overseas Chinese individuals, organizations, companies, and members of the public worldwide to fund these scholarships. Eligible applicants who meet the specific requirements for each type of scholarship, as well as the general criteria listed below, are welcome to apply:
Eligibility:

Overseas Chinese and Hong Kong/Macao students currently studying in universities or colleges in Taiwan:

Undergraduate students must be in their second year or above.

Junior college (technical/vocational) students must be in fourth year or above.

First-year university students may apply based on their completion scores from the OCAC Pre-University Autumn Program at NTNU.

Applicants must not have received the "2024 OCAC Scholarship for Outstanding and Excellent Overseas Chinese Students."

The scholarship is only available within the standard study period as regulated by each educational institution. Students who are repeating a year, extending graduation, or are first-year graduate students are not eligible.

Applicants must possess a valid OCAC iOCAC Card.
Application Procedure:

Before February 27, 2025, applicants must complete the online application form through the OCAC’s Scholarship Application System (Website: https://scholarship.ocac.gov.tw/).

After completing the form, export the application and the required document checklist.

Carefully attach all required documents as instructed, sign where indicated, and include Chinese transcripts for both semesters of the 2023 academic year to submit to your university for processing.

Applicants who are children of teachers currently serving at overseas Chinese schools must provide employment verification for the parent.

Students from low-income households should submit appropriate financial hardship documentation.

Important Deadlines:
※ Students who meet the eligibility requirements and complete the online application must submit all required documents (including any supplementary documents) to the Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs by 12:00 PM on March 3, 2025 (Monday) for internal university review.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
