【Important Notice】Important Notice for International Students Working Part-Time in Taiwan

✅ 1. Work Permit Required for Legal Employment

According to the Employment Service Act, all international students must apply for and obtain a work permit before engaging in any part-time job in Taiwan.

 

❌ 2. Prohibited Jobs and Inappropriate Employment

International students are strictly prohibited from engaging in the following types of work, which may lead to serious consequences:

*Jobs involving entertainment, escort, or hostess services (e.g., at nightclubs, bars, or hostess lounges)

*Jobs involving gambling, pornography, violence, or illegal marketing

*Any part-time job without a valid work permit, even if the employer claims it is not required

 

⚠️ 3. Serious Legal Consequences for Violations

If you work without a permit or engage in inappropriate work, you may:

*Have your work permit revoked and be reported to the National Immigration Agency

*Be fined up to NT$150,000

*Lose your ARC (Alien Resident Certificate) and be banned from staying or re-entering Taiwan

*Be subject to school disciplinary action, such as warnings or demerits
